How do I install the XCharge update?

The XCharge Server must be upgraded before installing on any client computers.
To identify the XCharge Server, please find the following icon in your taskbar.

The XCharge system update process can easily be completed by following these steps:
  • Download the necessary XCharge software.
  • Once the download has completed, locate the installation file – typically in your “Downloads” folder
    • The Installation file will be named XCharge_Installer_OI_8.1.2.128.exe
  • Click on and run the installation file
  • Once you have opened the file, you will be prompted with a screen to upgrade XCharge, click Yes to continue.
  • XCharge will begin the upgrade process
  • Once the upgrade process has been completed, you may be prompted to restart your computer
    • Once your computer has been restarted you will be able to process transactions again.

The XCharge Server must be upgraded before installing on any client computers. To identify the XCharge Server, please find the following icon in your taskbar.

How do I verify the update was successful?

  1. Once the update has completed, locate and open the XCharge software
  2. Verify the version installed displays "XCharge 8.1 Release 2 Service Pack 1 a" in the header of the application
  3. You’re all set. Thank you for updating XCharge!
